Last Thursday and Friday, Mari Adam, Rachael Grattan and Stephanie Cooper were at the 36th Annual Conference of the Financial Planning Association of Greater Fort Lauderdale, which took place in Boca. (We actively serve on the South Florida FPA Board of Directors, and Rachael and Stephanie chair Next Generation events supporting up-and-coming Certified Financial Planner™ licensees).
The FPA Conference is Southeast Florida’s largest symposium for financial advisors. The Conference provides a unique venue for attendees to network, receive continuing education credit and hear high caliber speakers.
The two days of intense discussions allowed us to explore the latest in estate planning, insurance, financial planning, investment and portfolio research, and regulatory developments. I came away with new knowledge on how to maximize executive benefits for retiring corporate employees, and brushed up on techniques to turn taxable assets into tax-free long-term care benefits, both of which I’m anxious to put to work for clients.
Our thanks go to all our fellow professionals and industry partners who made time to attend and share their insights with us. We also want to send a big shout-out to Nancy Alvarez, who so capably and efficiently handled everything back at the office while we were out!
