Everyone was masked, we all sat far apart, and it wasn’t your typical concert hall, but it sure was nice to get out of the house and hear exquisite music at the Boca Symphonia’s first live concert of the 2020-2021 season.
The program included a selection of works by Corelli, Vivaldi, Walker, and Mozart, under the direction of guest conductor Alastair Willis and violin soloists Mei Mei Luo and Dina Kostic.
Thank you to all the wonderful Boca Symphonia volunteers, staff and sponsors for this opportunity to hear outstanding live music and see proof that there really is “light at the end of the COVID tunnel.”
The Takeaway: Take time out to enjoy a special holiday event, even if it’s socially-distanced or via Zoom. This may not be a “normal” year, but a little bit of (safe) celebration goes a long way in raising everyone’s spirits!
