Update as of Wednesday, September 4: The storm has passed and we are relieved to say that our office is open, with operations back to normal again. We are thankful that Hurricane Dorian passed us by, although we are saddened to hear of the devastating damage that has occurred to our east in the Bahamas.
Dear Clients and Friends:
As you know, Hurricane Dorian is on its way, and we are all preparing for what may well be a very dangerous hurricane.
We are completing all work possible before the storm, and the long Labor Day weekend.
To keep employees safe, we will be required to officially “close” the office once we are under a hurricane warning. As soon as we’ve been given the all-clear, and we have power and other services, we’ll be permitted to head back to the office.
But we are still here to support you. Please make note of the following emergency phone numbers and update procedures:
If you cannot reach us, please call Charles Schwab directly at any time for questions or service needs. The number for Schwab Alliance is 800-515-2157. That’s the division dedicated to serving our advisory clients. Schwab has several regional offices across the country so they are available to help you regardless of the weather situation in Florida. And of course, it goes without saying that your assets are always safe and secure at Schwab, which is one of the reasons we have selected them to serve as your Custodian. If we are not available, they can help you with any unexpected money needs.
In the event we lose electrical power in our office, our main phone lines are programmed to roll to a Comcast answering service and alternate back-up phone numbers. Please feel free to leave a message or send me an email directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will all do our best to respond to your messages as soon as possible, given the availability of telephone and internet service.
We will also post periodic updates regarding the weather and our office status on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and our main web page and blog (please note that Twitter updates are conveniently displayed toward the bottom right of our website’s main landing page, so look for updates there as well).
Most importantly, please stay safe. This is a very dangerous storm. We look forward to speaking to you as soon as this is over.
The Team at Adam Financial Associates, Inc.
