CFP® Professionals: Giving Back To The Profession

“Anyone can call themselves a financial advisor. Only those who have met the standard of excellence in financial planning can call themselves a CFP® professional.” – CFP Board

Our team of 6 CFP® professionals, plus our outstanding testing facilitator Kathy, showed off some pretty serious skills last week in Washington DC!

We spent two days at the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. headquarters (CFP Board) refining questions that will appear on future CFP® exams.

CFP® candidates are required to demonstrate competence across a broad range of subject areas – investments, insurance, estate planning, retirement, tax, and financial planning – to pass the exam.

The CFP® designation continues to grow in popularity. However, only about 25% of all financial advisors are Certified Financial Planner professionals, making the CFP® designation the gold standard of personal finance credentials.
