Can You Lower Your Risk Of Alzheimer’s?

alzheimers 2015

We participated in the 2015 Boca Raton Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which raised over $247,000 for research and treatment

Many people are aware that Alzheimer’s disease is a leading cause of death in the United States. At present, it has no cure.

Almost everyone knows someone whose life has been affected by Alzheimer’s … a friend, a parent, a spouse.

So you may want to take a look at a free new app on the web called BrainSalvation that measures how your lifestyle affects your risk of getting Alzheimer’s, and provides tips on how to reduce that risk.

We can’t vouch for the scientific research behind the app, but it does ask some thought-provoking questions about factors within your control – like your level of activity, your diet and sleep habits, stress, community contacts, and medical health – that could influence your risk of getting Alzheimer’s.

After you finish a short quiz, you receive your  Risk Reduction Score and lifestyle tips to help you reduce your risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
