Quick shout out to my college friend Cliff Hockley (CMC ’79) on his new book “Successful Real Estate Investing: Invest Wisely, Avoid Costly Mistakes and Make Money.” It’s entertaining and insightful; must-reading for both new and experienced real estate investors.
The book is organized into short, easy-to-read chapters with real life examples of real estate successes (and stumbles). I learned a lot about real estate investing just flipping through the chapters over the weekend.
Cliff is President of Bluestone & Hockley Real Estate Services in Portland, Oregon, a leading full-service real estate company managing over 2 billion dollars in assets, which include 6,000 units and 2 million square feet of commercial property in the Pacific Northwest.
He’s also a Certified Property Manager® (CPM) and a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). Cliff has managed warehouse, office, and retail properties, as well as mobile home parks, condominium associations, and residential properties of all sizes.
Cliff, it was great to see you and Julie in South FL. Maybe we can convince you to trade the rainy Northwest for sunny Florida, at least for part of the year!
