Suzette Rothberg, CFP®, Senior VP at American Funds, drives home a point at her special workshop for elite women financial advisors.

84% of Americans say that certifications are important when choosing their financial advisor, according to consumer surveys conducted by the CFP Board of Standards.

Those credentials, and the commitment to staying at the leading edge of investment knowledge and financial advice, help make Certified Financial Planners (CFP®s) the advisor of choice for most Americans.

Suzette Rothberg, CFP®, and Senior Vice President of American Funds, conducted a special workshop Monday evening for elite women financial advisors in South Florida.  She reviewed how great advisors combine the total package of credentials, competence and character to earn the loyalty and trust of their clients.

That bond helps advisors connect with clients to truly understand their financial and lifestyle goals, and work together on a strategy to achieve them. It’s also invaluable at times of market stress, like the environment we’re facing today.

The dinner workshop was open to female advisors from the South Florida Financial Planning Association.

The workshop was made possible thanks to behind-the-scenes support from event planner Linda Wolonick, President of Expert Business Solutions, and the Vienna Café in Davie, Florida.
